Sport Modelers Society conducts club meetings on the first Saturday of
each month starting a 9:00am. Meetings are held at the Flying Field.

Southwest Florida Aerobatic Challenge is open to all IMAC members and
non-members with valid AMA memberships. Trophies will be
presented for the top three places in all classes from Basic,
Sportsman, Intermediate, Advance and Unlimited. First place trophy for
Seniors will also be awarded.
The contest is a 2-day
contest on Saturday and Sunday with three known and one unknown rounds
planned. There will be a pilots meeting both days at 8:30 am and
wheels up at 9:00 am.
Entry Fee, $45 FOR IMAC MEMBERS, $65 NON-IMAC MEMBERS, FIRST TIME BASIC PILOTS Free.
The field will be open from 8:00 am to sunset on Friday for practice.
camping is allowed - no hookups available. Dave and Rhonda will be
hosting one of their fantastic dinners again this year on Saturday
evening when flying is completed, so plan to hang around to enjoy and
socialize. The club will have hot food available for purchase all three
The gravel road leading to the field is locked from sunset
to sunrise during the contest. If you plan to arrive after hours,
please contact CD Dave Ortmayer at 941-916-2476 for the gate code and
Novice Class will be offer for this contest;
class is specifically for pilots who would like to try IMAC in a stress
free non-competitive environment. Novice class will fly on
Saturday only. Aircraft DOES NOT need to be a
scale aerobatic aircraft. Pilots will fly the 2019 Basic sequence
along with the Basic class and will be judged and scored by IMAC
certified judges. Pilot will receive tips, techniques and
feedback; this is a fantastic way to be involve on what precision
aerobatics is all about without the competition aspect of the contest.
